What began as a beautiful bridge between Asia and a flourishing Latin American Art scene has grown into a pillar of exceptional talent from international spheres. An advocate for critical contemporary discourse - as well as a vibrant idea exchange - Grupo Artitude is home to innovative, pioneering exhibitions across a variety of media and genres.

Our Founder:
Passion is Everything

A graduate of Sotheby’s Institute of Art, Holly Victoria Turner-Thakran started her career in a contemporary art gallery in central London. Inspired by Asian art and the opportunities in the East, she moved to Singapore in 2011. By 2014, she had dove headlong into the street art of Latin America, and was particularly mesmerised with the creativity coming out of Columbia. It was to be her life’s journey.

Holly soon became a collector and in late 2017, she founded Artitude Galería, a platform dedicated to showcasing exceptional Latin American artists. As fate would have it, this beautiful ray of light left us in October, 2021. Her beloved husband, Ravi Thakran, continues her legacy of selflessness and love of art. He’s the guiding hand that continues to turn Holly’s vision into reality.

Our Ambition: Creating Sparks

At Artitude we are telling a story in the language we are most fluent: the language of visual arts, a vernacular not of words but of images that dazzle, perplex and represent a kaleidoscope, of not just a visual experience, but of a unique time and situation that the artist is trying to convey.

Our Legacy:
Duende

Duende is the power of art to move one’s soul. The artistic and especially musical term was derived from the duende, a fairy or goblin-like creature in Spanish and Latin American mythology. Duende is the spirit of evocation. It is what gives you chills, makes you smile or cry as a bodily reaction to an artistic performance that is particularly expressive.
